Gokpara Farms: A Brief History
Founded in 2025 in the vibrant agricultural town of Bussie, located in the Upper West Region of Ghana, Gokpara Farms emerged with a clear mission: to revolutionize farming practices and empower rural communities through sustainable agriculture.
Under the visionary leadership of CEO Dorsah Jonas, the company began by offering essential farm inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and tools to local farmers. Recognizing the challenges faced by smallholder farmers, Gokpara Farms expanded its operations to include animal rearing, focusing on livestock such as poultry, goats, and cattle to diversify income sources and improve food security.
As demand grew, the company established a network of farm service centers across the region. These centers became hubs for agricultural training, equipment rental, veterinary services, and technical support—bridging the gap between traditional farming and modern agribusiness.
Today, Gokpara Farms stands as a beacon of innovation and resilience in Ghana’s agricultural sector, continuing to uplift communities and promote sustainable farming practices across the Upper West Region.
